What Happens If Earth was Only Planet in Our Solar System?
Imagine never not having a dream on landing on red dry surfaces of mars or or travelling to Saturn. Not because it was impossible, but since they never existed at the first place. And Earth was only planet in our solar system.
What would our night Sky look like?
Where would the earth be located?
And how would Humanity evolve?
This is What Happens if Earth was the Only Planet in Our Solar System and if you are seeking an answer to all these amazing questions, just stick to this article as this is going to give you all these epic answers that too in details.
There are total 8 Planets in our solar system which we look and aspire to land at one day. Infact, we humans have all the theoretical knowledge of landing on our neighbouring planets, and getting there now is just an engineering problem now. since they are far enough away from earth. But even though they are billions of kilometers years away but still they play an essential part for life on earth. So, what would happen if they never existed at the really first place?
Each planet in our solar system played a vital role in the development of earth in billions of years ago. They just played an active part. And they continue to play that important role today in in safety of earth. For example, take placement of every single planet they all have their own little space in galaxy and that is not by accident.
Our planets are together just to keep each other in place. For example, if mercury and venus cease to exist, earth might drift closer to the sun and if jupiter and saturn cease to exist earth may drift away instead of getting closer to the sun. This would cause a number of issues for certain things. Right now we are lucky enough to live which scientists calls a goldilocks zone. They call it so because earth exist in a orbit around sun which are just right to sustain life. Which is just pretty perfect to harbour life.
If earth gets closer to sun it will get so hotter and we will burn to crisp. They farther away we get, the more the temperature would drop, earth would be too cold to sustain life or to be precise it would turn out to be a massive frozen ball of ice. Everything on it would be frozen from top to down.
The position of earth in our solar system not only affects life but everything that happens on our planet. It affects ours seasons, the lengths of our days and nights, and how long are our years. This very position is too vital to all the happening on earth and a lil change in it can be damaging for us.
How it would be if there is only earth alone left in our solar system?
Irrespective of where we place earth in our solar system, either too close at place of mercury or too far at place of pluto. If it is not in our goldilocks zone the chances of sustaining life are pretty small to none.
If life did manage to stay somehow it would definitely be aquatic. That is because without any other planet keeping us in check the earth's gravity would be severely different. When we say no other planet we say no moons either, the moon's gravitational pull is responsible for tides here on earth, without which our waters would remain still. The oceans wouldn't rise and fall, they would stay there where they were. So, really earth as we know it, if there were no other planets existed. Firstly, there would be no chance that humanity would be living today.
What would happen if planets instead of didn't existing they Suddenly disappear one day?
In this case, apart from earth wildly moving around without any sense of where to go, we would also have an other huge issue to worry about. And that is Asteroids. It is clear that every planet is critical to life on earth. If just one planet suddenly disappeared a number of issues would go along with it. There are two planets that have very important role in keeping earth safe or they can be called the big brothers of earth. Which are jupiter and saturn. That is because while earth is hanging out and thriving with life, jupiter and saturn are getting beat up by millions of asteroids. Flying through our solar system their are hundreds of millions of asteroids who are trying to kill earth. Luckily, we hardly see any of these that because of jupiter and saturn. Because of their enormous size and gravity, they do an excellent job of pulling asteroids into them so they never make it to earth. With these planets gone, earth would be bombarded by asteroids. Not so good.
In case you have forgotten, the single asteroid millions of years ago wiping out the entire dinosaur population so this would end up being pretty bad. And earth would soon be covered with massive craters. Once again life would cease to exist.
Luckily, you don't have to worry about any of this, knowing that earth sits comfortably in this perfect little spot in the universe. Where we all live and thrive. So, that is what happens if our earth was only planet in our solar system if you like to read more science reads then follow this blog as it is dedicated to writing about Epic Exploration of Scientific Scenarios and so is called What Happen.
